Dear Angelenos,

Through earthquakes, civil unrest, and wildfires, Angelenos have come together to weather the storm and rebuild stronger than ever.

We must take action now against an immediate danger to all of us. We must physically distance ourselves from each other and protect those in need from economic devastation. The Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles has launched the Angeleno Campaign to raise $10 million to provide direct cash assistance to Angelenos most in need. We are doing this because those who qualify for federal and state assistance may not receive it for weeks or longer, and too many, particularly independent workers and immigrants, may be ineligible for many benefits.

We will also continue to raise donations through the L.A. Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund. This fund supports critical needs as they arise in our city – such as childcare and meals for the neediest, relief and counseling for frontline healthcare workers, critical healthcare equipment, and services for our homeless population.

Mayor Garcetti has made it clear that needs may have to shift quickly. The Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles was created to be an agile and trusted institution in which donors can be assured that their contributions will be deployed when and how they are most needed.

If you are able to donate, please consider doing so.

In This Together,
