The clinic is the first of three planned, aimed to assist individuals at risk of eviction before the looming February 1 deadline for settling back rent from October 1, 2021, to January 31, 2023. The second clinic is scheduled for Saturday, January 27th.

It’s a new year, but the Mayor’s Fund’s goal of helping Angelenos stay housed has not changed. We Are LA is hosting a series of resource clinics that will provide eviction protection information and on-site screening and sign up for public benefit programs.

The Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles has adopted reforms to its policy for accepting contributions that mirror city candidate campaign contribution rules. Going forward, the fund will no longer accept donations from individuals registered to lobby the city, as well as developers focused on doing business with the city. The goal is to adhere to the highest ethical standards while providing the support needed to help prevent homelessness in Los Angeles and address other critical issues facing the city. Thanks to all the outreach workers, case managers, eviction lawyers and advocates, we’ve reached over 150,000 Angelenos and are connecting with more every day.
