Announcing We Are LA Resource Clinics!
It’s a new year, but the Mayor’s Fund’s goal of helping Angelenos stay housed has not changed. We are laser-focused on helping Mayor Karen Bass confront the crisis of homelessness in our city.
Unfortunately, another important rent payment deadline is approaching, and we anticipate another spike in evictions when it passes. Renters have until February 1 to pay any back rent owed from the period between October 1, 2021 and January 31, 2023.
To mitigate the anticipated spike, We Are LA is hosting a series of resource clinics in January and early February. They will provide eviction protection information and on-site screening and sign up for public benefit programs. The first clinic will be a part of the Martin Luther King Day Freedom Fest.
