Partner Spotlight: Esperanza Community Housing
Esperanza Community Housing is a dedicated partner in the We Are LA homelessness prevention program. The 17 deeply committed and knowledgeable Esperanza caseworkers who are part of the We Are LA team are doing life-saving work. They are connecting Angelenos in need to the programs that help them stabilize their housing and avoid eviction and homelessness.
Esperanza’s deep community relationships and close connections to local community members have helped We Are LA reach and establish instant credibility with thousands of Angelenos. Each member of the Esperanza team speaks Spanish fluently, and nearly 60% of the Angelenos they assist are Spanish-speaking.
Esperanza has signed up more than 3,000 tenants to over 8,000 services. They have connected people to CalFresh, MediCal, childcare assistance, tax credits, legal assistance, and more.
Partners like Esperanza are the reason We Are LA is able to prevent evictions and homelessness.
